Details: More than just a router. Open Source centre of your home. A router is essential for connecting to the internet, but most of the time it is underutilised and only consumes electricity. So, why not use it in a different way? With its powerful hardware, Turris Omnia will handle many other things, even with gigabit traffic. You can use it as a home server, NAS, print server, and it even features built-in support for virtual servers. High-performance dual-core ARM processor at 1.6 GHz with close-to-PC performance. 2 GB RAM and 8 GB flash memory lets you expand your router with a number of other functions. Secure default configuration, easy setup and automatic firmware updates. Software constantly being developed thanks to data from the Turris Project. Open hardware with a free Turris OS. You can use it as a DLNA server, add a DVB-T tuner, sound card or webcam. All LEDs on Omnia are dimmable. You can set your preferred colour or completely reprogram the LEDs (i.e. off at night). If you want to have extra fast storage in your Omnia, connect the SSD via the mSATA interface, or use two USB 3.0 ports. Omnia's powerful processor makes it possible to utilise the full speed of the connected drive. Omnia includes direct support for virtual servers. These behave like other LAN-connected computers, allowing you to run one of the many supported Linux distributions on them. With Omnia you can use a USB or miniPCIe LTE modem (Omnia offers a SIM card slot when not directly in the modem) to create a backup connection to be activated when the main connection is unavailable. If you have a fiber optic connection to the home (FTTH, Fiber to the Home), you can connect without any additional device (just insert the correct SFP module).
